MISSION
Our
mission at BACICO is to negotiate reduced
pricing for all cost related items and services for our members,
therefore enhancing profitability.
VISION
Our
vision at BACICO is to be a one-stop-shop
for our members by listening and acting on distributor in-put,
constantly negotiating with existing and new suppliers, and
removing the hassle so you can concentrate on your core business.
After
talking with many distributors, we found most of them were
buying items to run their business on an individual basis.
It seemed clear to us that no one was taking advantage of the
buying power that exists by bringing all distributors together
as a buying unit.
For example: a large distributor with 300 vehicles would negotiate
better pricing with a supplier. They should get
a better price than an individual who’s only going to
buy one vehicle every 3 or 4 years. Now take that same distributor
and increase their fleet to 5,000, 10,000 or even 20,000. That’s
the buying power you get when you join BACICO.
All
suppliers understand that they must offer their products at a
lower cost than the distributors currently get….that’s
good for you.
The suppliers get an increased customer base to offset the reduced
price….that’s good for them.
When both sides of the supply chain improve their current situation,
a true long term relationship is established....that's good for
everyone!
ABOUT
THE OWNER
My
name is Dan Bacigalupo. I am the owner of BACICO
and have 30 years experience in the beer industry.
When I was a kid my father owned a beer distributor in Concord
California. I was the brat who climbed on the pallets of beer
always irritating the warehouse manager. When I was about 10 years
old, my dad sold the business. It wasn’t until years later
that I realized that I would have been a beer wholesaler had he
not sold. My career path took a different turn while still holding
on to my roots, one that I’m very proud of to this day.
When it became time to get a real job, I worked at beer distributors
for all 3 major brewers starting in breakage moving up to loading
and unloading trucks when I eventually got my own route as a driver
salesman.
This background enabled me to get on with a major brewer where
I spent the next 22 years, 20 of which were as a national account
manager calling on and building relationships with the chain’s
regional and national headquarters.
In 2006, I decided to leave Corporate America and start my own
company.
I visited with many of my beer wholesaler friends that I’ve
known over the years to learn what opportunities might be out
there where I could take advantage of my years in the beer business.
Without exception, each wholesaler was looking for ways to reduce
costs. As I explored further, I found that most wholesalers were
buying the products and services needed to run their businesses
on an individual basis. The price they paid was based on the size
of their operation. Also without exception, was the interest for
someone to pool the buying power of other wholesalers in order
to increase their clout with suppliers.
In January of 2007, BACICO was created to do
just that. Work with suppliers to get the best price possible
for its members.
My background and the core of BACICO consist
of 2 major components, working with wholesalers and building relationships
with national accounts.
This combination is a proven winner and promises to do what it’s
designed to do….SAVE YOU MONEY.
